While polyamory in our world doesn't always look like a sedoretu, but a sedoretu is a form of polyamory. So here's some advice from the internet for writing relationship with more then 1 partner for a better view of how to write a sedoretu (either healthier or for conflict!).

*bow, flourish* Happy to be of service. If someone wants to write polyfic, I strongly recommend reading at least one good book about how polyamory works. Unless you know polyfolks yourself. You can do well enough with articles, and there's plenty of good stuff free online, but it's catch as catch can. A book will give more comprehensive coverage. So if you're just doing a story here or there, articles are fine; if it's a core fandom for you, more is better, because polyamory isn't an easy thing to learn about in a culture that rarely admits to doing it.

LOL yes. I have inhaled whole libraries -- small ones, but still. More often I've read all the books in a library that interest me. I've lined my house with books. We counted once; there were over 10,000 and that was years ago. The Pagan collection alone is over 1,000. The one and only thing that this level of society has going for it that no other level does is ... cheap paperback books. I collect them because I can.

Now consider that normal people believe you're an expert if you've read three books on a topic. Just three. Hell, the only things I've read less than three of are topics I don't really care about, ones that were assigned, or I found everything I actually needed in less. I've read thousands of speculative fiction novels, thousands of Pagan books and cookbooks, hundreds of poetry books, probably hundreds of other favorite topics like nature/gardening, at least dozens of things that are harder to find like linguistics or gender studies, and so on. Though part of that depends on how you subdivide "topics." Break speculative fiction into fantasy and science fiction, I've still read thousands of each. Break down nature or gardening into subtopics and some might be only dozens. Plus of course, magazines and online reading and anything else with words in an alphabet I can read. And stuff sticks.

In a very real sense, I am the Library.
