It has come to my attention that the snowflake_challenge desperately needs help with both volenteers & a new admin since the current one can't do it anymore. While polyamory in our world doesn't always look like a sedoretu, but a sedoretu is a form of polyamory. So here's some advice from the internet for writing relationship with more then 1 partner for a better view of how to write a sedoretu (either healthier or for conflict!).

What was the first ship you shipped like a sedoretu?

Were you aware yet what a sedoretu was? Do you imagine this ship on planet O or do you make AUs for them? Why do you think this ship works well as a sedoretu?

I thought of the fact that drawing a single image for sedoretu might be a little hard by the fact that moieties are pretty important to it. So I thought up a colour-pallete for those who want to draw a single image and wish to make clear who is in what moiety. Of course you do not have to use it, but in case you wanna.

This is the community for 40 prompts about the sedoretu from Ursula Le Guin's work.

The sedoretu is a system of marriage from the planet O. In this society people are split up into 2 moieties: morning & evening. Marriages on O are expected to have 2 morning people + 2 evening people (most typical with 1 male 1 female per moiety).

Here's a quote from the writer Ursula about the expected relatioships in the marriage:

The expected relationships within each sedoretu are:
The Morning woman and the Evening man (the "Morning marriage")
The Evening woman and the Morning man (the "Evening marriage")
The Morning woman and the Evening woman (the "Day marriage")
The Morning man and the Evening man (the "Night marriage")
The forbidden relationships are between the Morning woman and the Morning man, and between the Evening woman and the Evening man, and they aren't called anything, except sacrilege.
It's just as complicated as it sounds, but aren't most marriages?

While this is first and formost a prompt fill com; you may post other things as long as it relates to the sedoretu (e.g. fic/art/podfic recs, advice, or maybe just brainstorm plotbunnies togethor).
